Explore the unique story of The Burren, one of Ireland's most compelling landscapes, where creviced grey rock meets the wild Atlantic Ocean. The Exhibition introduces visitors to one of nature's most extraordinary phenomena, covering the geology, formation, fauna & array of flowers, where native species flourish alongside Arctic, Alpine & Mediterranean plants. It also covers the history of the Burren people, their monuments, archaeology & culture. Exclusive short film by naturalist, Éamon de Buitléar, splendidly presents the Burren Landscape while Digital Story Trails are available via QR code. Headphones must be worn - not provided. The Burren Exhibition offers "a wonderful introduction to what makes this UNESCO Global Geopark so special." The Burren Visitor Centre is a not-for-profit enterprise run by the community & is the licensed information point for North Clare offering bespoke advice on what to see, where to go, as well as directions, maps & discount vouchers.
